The apostle Paul in his letter to Timothy writes “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity (1Timothy 4:12)”

How you ever thought to yourself that there is no way that God could use you because you think you are too young? Or maybe you have only just decided to become a Christian and are wondering how could God possibly use me? Do you feel that you might not be good enough or inadequate to everyone else around you?
These are all things that Timothy struggled with . Timothy was never known as a charismatic or strong leader. He was apparently somewhat timid and afraid to confront his people, in particular anyone older than him. What set Timothy apart from everyone else was his faithfulness and his perseverance to the call of God in his life. Despite all his fears and weaknesses, Timothy was used by God to build the church and to encourage the people around him.
Timothy shows us that our fears and inadequacies don’t need to stop us from serving God and that God can use anybody for the purpose of his will. He has shown us that we can lead by example by putting our beliefs into practice and that by following God we can be a great sense of encouragement to anyone we come into contact with, irregardless of age.
enjoy your day
Tim
